Surf Guide/Coach
Simon Clowes
Simon grew up in Cornwall, England and it was clear
he was an aquatic creature from a young age, learning to surf after school,
weekends, and holidays with his friends on the Cornish coast. This passion grew
and developed into overseas surf trips during the colder months, which
presented the opportunity of emigrating to New Zealand in 1996 and settling in
Piha, Auckland. Living on the West Coast gave the perfect balance for a working
career in the city and life on the beach.
After many road trips and holidays north Simon
decided to settle on the Tutukaka Coast, Northland, and after nine years of
surfing all over Northland decided to give up a lucrative career in Sales &
Marketing and trade in his desk for the beach.
As owner operator of Surfaris,
Simon understands that business thrives on the traditional values of reputation
and referrals coupled with tenacity, energy and dedication to the customer.
Simon is hugely social and as Surf Guide/Surf Coach he will make your surf
tours fun and enjoyable for all.
